Chocolate and Quitapenas wine: the perfect pairing

Chocolate and Wine Quitapenas: A unique food and wine experience in Malaga.

Last Friday, May 19, one of the most innovative food and wine experiences took place: Quitapenas chocolate and wine.

It is the second time that the artisan chocolates of maycho and the wines of Quitapenas, together with Manu Balanzino, come together to offer a most innovative experience in terms of wine pairings.

Maychoco is an artisan fine chocolate workshop, located in Benajarafe (Málaga), which in recent months has been reaping innumerable international awards, giving value to artisan products and local raw materials, essential requirements for guaranteed success.

Along with Maycho, Manu Balanzino, chef, sommelier, disseminator and gastronomic advisor, with a long history in the world of gastronomy and dissemination, has been the one who, with his human and professional quality, has directed this very differentiating tasting in Malaga .

Unique wine and gastronomic experience

In addition to this tandem, our Quitapenas wines: Ernite Estate, the red oak from the Tempranillo grape from Ronda; Tachin, a semi-sweet semi-sweet sparkling wine made with Moorish muscatel grapes; Pajarete, the traditional one from Málaga with almost 4 years of aging and the Vermouth Quitapenas, the one that surprises even the most vermouthers.

The Quitapenas chocolate and wine activity was enlivened at all times by the harmonious guitar of Artemio, an Estonian resident in Malaga, master of this instrument, who surprised with his repertoire throughout the tasting.

It started with a little history of the more than 140 years of Quitapenas, so that attendees could see the trajectory of the oldest winery in Malaga.

After this, they went to the fermentation room and wine press, to briefly explain the production methods at Bodegas Quitapenas. Betting only on high quality wines, which has made it continue with the winemaking tradition after more than 143 years.

Master Tasting of Quitapenas wines

Finally, it ended with a masterful tasting of chocolate and Quitapenas de Málaga wine. A successful, entertaining and fun experience, where all the participants could enjoy the wines and chocolates. The activity was enlivened at all times, with the music of Artemio and directed by Manu Balanzino.

A unique experience that will have to wait, for those who could not attend, for its third edition.

Quitapenas wines paired with “Bean to bar” artisan chocolates…. What more could you want?
